Recently, I tried a popular coffee drink from Ethiopia. Ethiopia is known to be the homeland of coffee. Coffee experts say coffee was discovered and first brewed there.
I am likely not preparing the drink correct. I mixed the drink up for utility. There is someone at work from Ethiopia. He suggested it to me. He did not say how to properly prepare it. We do not have time in the morning for that sort of thing. I decided to go rogue in the preparation. It yielded a decent result I think.
I work in a clean room. There are people from around the globe. I do not say all over the world because often people in a factory environment cover from a few countries. You are not necessarily going to find people from every country on the map. There are simply too many countries and that is simply not how it works.
Anyway, I see the guy before I head off to my station. I talk with him a little bit. He seems nice. I do not know him personally or deeply. He seems nice, however.
I told him Friday I drink a lot of caffeine. I said I drink it a lot to concentrate. He said there is a drink in his home country of Ethiopia that helps them when they have to study for a test. The name of the drink is Jebena Buna.
Jebena Buna is a coffee-tea mixture. It is a very popular drink in Ethiopia. Now, as I said above, I do not know who to prepare Jebena Buna. I was curious what kind of buzz it would give. I know I sound like an addict saying I was looking what kind of buzz a drink would give me. Well, there we are. I am an unashamed caffeine addict. I am flamboyant about all of it. I am not even going to apologize for it and I will wear my addiction on my vest as a badge of pride. I really should look into getting a pin or something than declares my addiction.
Maybe not: A pin or any sort of apparel decoration may be a bit tacky. Tacky is never cool. Many Americans seem to adore tacky. I simply do not understand the purpose of basking in your own tackiness.
Now, people are free to live a tacky Tom or Tina life if they want to. I will try to avoid unnecessary signals, however.
I know I digressed a bit. Well, back on track. I tried Jebena Buna at the work cafeteria during breakfast. I poured pikes place Starbucks coffee from the cafeteria canister into a cup and grabbed a packet of English Breakfast from. I plopped it into the coffee. I think grabbed, secured the lid, paid and sat down at a table by myself.
I tested the waters or rather the Jebena Beuna or the pseudo, bastardized Jebena Buna. The drink tasted ok. There were definite notes of the tea on the as I sipped. The buzz it left afterward was nice. I felt exhilarated and refreshed. Perhaps, slightly dizzy, but in a good way.
